The professional Range
Tornado RIBs are engineered for continuous professional operation across a broad spectrum of maritime duties, including patrol, interception, search and rescue, personnel transfer, and other defined mission profiles.
Manufacturing and Materials
Construction processes are controlled, documented, and repeatable. Hulls are produced in vinylester using vacuum‑infusion methods to ensure structural integrity at the lowest possible weight. Inflatable tubes are manufactured exclusively from Orca Hypalon by Pennel & Flipo, chosen for its best in class quality and reputation.
All vessels are supplied in compliance with CE Category C as standard. Higher CE categories and SOLAS (MED) certification can be provided subject to project‑specific requirements and applicable regulatory frameworks.
Configuration and System Integration
Tornado Professional RIBs are configured in accordance with clients operational requirements, environmental conditions for long term reliability and use.
Hull and Stability Considerations
Each hull is engineered to provide predictable handling characteristics, structural rigidity, and controlled dynamic behaviour consistent with the operational profile specified by the end user. Fuel tanks are dimensioned to meet the required operational range and may be installed below deck to maintain a low centre of gravity and safe internal console volume for storage or other equipment.
Deck Arrangement
Deck layouts are modular and may incorporate integrated storage solutions, various steeting and seat consoles, fixed bow and stern lockers. Deck geometry is arranged to support safe crew movement, efficient equipment access, and an unobstructed operational workflow.
Optional Equipment
Optional installations include Targa tops, navigation A‑frames, bow and stern tow posts, and self‑righting systems. All optional equipment is integrated in accordance with structural load paths, stability considerations, and relevant regulatory requirements.
